Kiley Anderson- Winston Churchill

I, Winston Churchill, believe that the rise of extremism is absolutely outrageous. There is so much power in the world, and that power should be used to better the citizens of each and every country. But, the rise of extremism is using this power in a very negative way. The main people who are misusing this power is Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Stalin is a terrible leader. He holds an abundance of power he could be using to improve his country, but instead, he is using it selfishly. Countless innocent lives were lost under the rule of Stalin. When something did not go his way, he had people killed. If anyone broke one of his ridiculous rules, that person would be sentenced to death in multiple inhumane ways. They were sent to brutal labor camps, or a gulag, where they were worked so hard they died. People's individual rights were violated daily by Stalin. The peak of Stalin's inhumane ways was the Great Purge he launched in 1934. Over 4 million innocent people died because Stalin basically saw everyone as a potential threat. Stalin even saw heroes as threats. He had a secret police that killed people as well as secret spies who planted listening devices and opened private letters. Overall, Stalin ruled a totalitarian state in a disgusting way. The only way to put a stop to the growing extremism in Russia and much of Western Europe is to get rid of these rulers who have wronged innocent people in every way possible. Stalin committed immeasurable crimes against humanity which is one example of why the rise of extremism is an atrocious thing that must vanish immediately.

  1. I disagree with you. With a country like Germany that was treated so wrongly, they deserve to build up in a way that they feel comfortable with. These people clearly responded better to a extremism approach.
